We are one full day away from race start, bikes will be checked and bags will be packed. Tonight is the night you should get a good sleep. The night before race night we are often loaded with nerves and barely close our eyes. Make sure you are rested it will be a long ramp to gun time. Hydration is something we don’t give much thought too. Weather has been sunny and warm, loading with electrolytes is important. Make sure you are topping up all day tomorrow.
The only thing you can control on race day is your attitude! We have all worked very hard and with this effort we are going to be standing on a beach far too early to tan. Remember the training plans we have worked on leading up to today. When the canon goes off it will be one long training day.
Remember the volunteers tomorrow! They will be out on course and are giving up their time to help us have a great race. And keep us safe.
The people along the sidelines that have traveled to watch you race. They have walked this path with you and are now standing cheering you on. They are your cheerleaders and should be thanked as well. Or at least pick up your bike for you at the end.
Don’t stop Don’t quite Don’t give up.
